Turing College Secures €2.5 Million EIC Grant to Revolutionize AI in Adult Education

We’re excited to share that Turing College has been awarded a €2.5 million grant from the European Innovation Council (EIC) to develop transformative AI solutions in adult education. In a highly competitive selection process, only around 70 companies out of nearly 1,000 applications received funding this year, and we’re honored to be among the chosen few.

Winning this grant isn’t just a validation of our work — it’s a massive step toward transforming how AI serves education. This support allows us to double down on our commitment to smarter, more adaptive, and more engaging learning. We’re building AI solutions that amplify human expertise rather than replace it, giving our mentors and learners the tools they need to stay ahead.

Exploring AI’s Real Potential in Education

It’s clear that AI will be a game-changer in education, but what that really means is still unknown. We’ve spent the last eight years exploring how AI can push learning forward, and now, with this grant, we’re ready to take that work to the next level.

What does that look like in practice? AI tools that adapt to each student, solutions that make learning more dynamic and personal, and a system that identifies and fills skill gaps in real time. With this support, we’ll also be able to address one of the biggest challenges in online education: providing a tailored learning experience that keeps students engaged and motivated throughout their journey.

Our team is committed to bringing these ideas to life in a way that meets real needs. We believe that everyone deserves an educational experience that adapts to their strengths and preferences — and AI is the key to making that happen.

Building AI That Understands, Supports, and Adapts to You

One of the most exciting parts of this project is developing an AI system that tracks each student’s progress. Imagine a learning platform that keeps a pulse on your strengths and challenges, knows which topics you’re confident in, and suggests where you could improve — all without adding unnecessary pressure.

Our AI-driven system will track each learner’s journey through project assessment data, mentor feedback, and test scores. After analyzing these elements, it will offer insights to help learners clearly see their progress and focus on the areas that will make the most impact. Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, every learner will have a path uniquely suited to their needs.

And it doesn’t stop at highlighting strengths and areas to improve. The system will personalize learning paths in real time using AI technologies like large language models (LLMs). Whether you prefer to focus on one topic at a time or connect ideas across different areas, the platform will adapt to your style, creating a responsive learning environment that grows with you.

Enhancing Mentorship and Social Learning with AI

Learning isn’t just absorbing information — it’s a social process powered by interaction and collaboration. Our goal with AI is to enhance these connections, not replace them.

For example, AI can identify moments when the learners could use a discussion with a mentor or group on a specific topic. By encouraging these interactions at just the right time, AI can deepen the social side of learning, helping learners build a richer understanding of the study material.

AI That Connects You to Real Job Opportunities

Education is about building skills, but it’s also about advancing careers. That’s why we’re building an AI-driven system to help match our graduates with job opportunities that fit their specific skill sets. Finding the right job can be a long, difficult process, and many qualified candidates get overlooked due to mismatched skill assessments or tedious hiring processes. Our system will simplify this by helping students showcase their skills and giving employers a faster, more accurate way to find the talent they need.

With this system, employers won’t have to sift through endless resumes. Instead, they’ll be able to quickly identify candidates whose skills and experiences align with their needs, making the hiring process smoother for everyone.

Breaking New Ground in AI-Powered Learning

AI brings vast potential that hasn’t been fully explored in education, and we’re ready to lead in discovering what it can do. With this EIC grant, we can invest in solutions that push learning forward and make it more accessible, effective, and personally meaningful.
